At B&BW I got...

Here are a couple tips when applying foundation:
Start with hydrated skin: Be sure to clean, exfoliate, and moisturize for the most even results.
Know your skin type: Oil-free formulas are best for acne-prone or oily skin. Hydrating formulas are best for normal to dry skin. If you have sensitive skin, you should look into a noncomedogenic or hypoallergenic formulas.
Get the right color: DON'T try to match the color on the back of your hand, DO put 3 different colors on your jawline and whatever one disappears is the correct color!

It's one of my pet peeves when people have un-matched foundation-_-

Change with the seasons: If you get tanner in the summertime, get a darker foundation. The last thing you want is to look less tan!
Prime for a perfect complexion: If you have scars or marks, use primer to even out your complexion.
A green-based primer can be used to counteract redness.

A lavender-based primer can brighten dull skin.

Apply concealer: You can use less foundation by adding concealer to areas that need covering up and blending.
Add foundation: Drop the foundation on the back of your hand and using the tip of a foundation brush, pat it gently on your face (don't forget your ears and neck!) and blend.
Learn to contour: Add a slightly darker powder to areas where you wish to add shadow. Sweep the powder along your hairline and cheekbones.
Believe in bronzer: Apply wherever the sun would naturally hit, your cheekbones, your forehead, and down the center of your face.
Highlighter to add soft lighting: Apply a small swipe down the center of your nose and along the top of the brow bone underneath your brows.
